Sista Monica took a well deserved four (4) week vacation to a remote paradise in Greece between November and December in 2008. She visited the home and olive orchard of her previous manager and dear friend Susan Beer. In 2008, Monica had a very full year. She travelled to Sonora, Mexico, Denver, Co, all over California. Sista Monica sang and produced her 8th CD "Sweet Inspirations" and released it. Now if that was not enough, she started a 40 voice gospel and inspirational workshop choir in Santa Cruz, California. She taught new-comers about phrasing , power singing, clapping, marching and the importance of musical performance and ministry. For a vacation, Sista Monica flew to Paris and then to Athens, then took a taxi ride for 5 hours south to a remote paradise. This remote paradise featured a little produce store, with a home 50 yards from the Ageian sea and Greek mountains. Susan "The Olive Queen" retired admist 60 mature olive trees. She prepared great food, and offered a serene and sacred space that was conducsive for reading, writing, meditating, reflection. and having a olive harvest adventure. There were no TVs, radios, and limited internet connections. Sista Monica's Greek vacation was perfect for rest and rejuvenation! Enjoy and welcome back Sista Monica!
