I started out with an airplane ticket, rental car, and the closest, most hard-to-find hotel room 50 miles away. I end up at the Hampton Inn in Loveland, Colorado on Wednesday, August 27, 2008. I had no ticket in hand for the acceptance speech by Senator Barack Obama as the Democratic Nominee for the President of the United States. This historic event was also on the 45^th anniversary of the great “I Have a Dream” speech by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. I had to be there. Be there for my late mother and father Ramogene and Garfield Parker, for Cousin Rubye Clay, my brother Barry and my sister Charlotte. I had to be there for every one that remembered Dr. King’s life, his marching and speaking, his personal sacrifice. We could possibly realize the dream, the hope, the change, and the inspiration that Barack Obama offered the rest of the United States and the world.

1. I love good music especially gospel, blues and soul.
2. I have two ragdoll cats that have my heart. One is "Mr. Cotton" and the other is "Bravo". They are white kitties with orange ears and tails. They are love bugs and seek so much time and affection.
3. I have travelled around the world to sing my blues and good gospel music. The three places that I really truely enjoyed the most were Utrecht, Holland and the rest of the Netherlands, Turkey, especially Izmir, Ephesus, and Antoyia and Quebec - both Montreal Jazz and Mt Tremblaunt Blues Festival.
4. Mama and Daddy are gone and that makes life much more different when it comes to making decisions and remembering some of the values that they instilled in me. They were good parents now that I reflect upon them as an adult.
